As a homeowner, you need to get your home tested for asbestos before a renovation or demolition project. This will help ensure the health and safety of everyone working on the project — as well as your own and your family’s health and safety.WorkSafeBC is implementing mandatory training and licensing for asbestos abatement work to help keep workers safe from the danger of asbestos. As of January 1, 2024, any contractor doing asbestos abatement work in your home must be licensed to do that work.
